What is UFO entertainment?

A Rocky Conglomerate.

UFO Entertainment was born out of the need to help struggling Rocky Horror Picture Show casts. We now have experience and resources in the following to make sure that those casts do not need to struggle anymore.

  • Shadowcasting
  • Audio mixing and recording
  • Sketch writing
  • Stage writing
  • Video production
  • Web design
  • Social networking
  • Event planning
  • Theater lighting design
  • Event staffing
  • Event support

Contact us if you would like assistance in any of those areas. We can also discuss renting you equipment, hiring out stage performers or crew, providing filming services, and lots more. We're willing to work with you to try and give you the help you need.

The UFO story

The Rialto and Rocky's Whores

In October of 1999 that cast of Voyeuristic Intention broke up after 19 years of being the resident Rocky horror cast at the Rialto Theater in South Pasadena, CA. The break up was so devastating that only two performing members of the show remained. The show at the Rialto was re-fortified by a small group of neighboring Rocky cast members to help put the show back on its feet. This organization was privately named the "UFO Project." UFO provided temporary stage talent and experienced Rocky Horror middle management to help stabilize the cast. What resulted was the cast of Rocky's Whores who continued under that banner until NOW (7 years later). The cast at the Rialto just recently changed its name to Dark Refrain and is proud to be part of the UFO promotional family. UFO and Dark Refrain will continue a tradition of Rocky Horror at the Rialto Theater that started back in 1978. Along with the Loft of Tucson, AZ and I believe the Oriental of Milwaukee, the Rialto Theater houses the longest running Rocky Horror Picture Show in the country and still plays the mono print that was delivered there in January of 1978.

The Fallbrook and WUT

The cast of Wild and Untamed Things (WUT) was started as a satellite cast to Midnight Insanity (MI) of Long Beach. However, a few years after MI gave WUT it's independence the cast went homeless. Remarkably, many of the same people who worked on the original UFO Project came through to deliver WUT a new theater in 2002. After being homeless for 14 months, WUT moved in to its current home at the Fallbrook Theater in West Hills, CA. They still occupy it on a regular schedule today. UFO has been providing WUT with insightful, inventive, and diplomatic leadership ever since.

Too Much Coffee Cast

The Too Much Coffee Cast (TMCC) of Ventura CA was founded in 1998 and was a show that struggled for years. In 2004 UFO aided them by providing a print for the TMCC. Since then, UFO has provided lighting, tech, photography, websites generation, marketing help, and some experienced performers which has allowed the TMCC to achieve a regular schedule and now they may even attain an additional venue. Congrats TMCC.
